drupal is better then joomla if you are willing to put some serious effort in learning it. better seo. but if you don't have that much patience then go with joomla, its not bad either. it all depends on ur need
Snews is very easy to implement. But I wouldn't say that it is a elastic system. You get what you see - and Snews does that part very well. But if you want to integrate almost anything else that isn't a part of Snews then you're lost. Joomla is good and have a lot of extra modules to expand it. Drupal is greater but much more difficult to learn. Wordpress can be transformed to a CMS. Text-pattern is fast and easy. If it's a big site you're aiming at with lots of different content then you might want to aim for Drupal or Joomla. Which one I think is a matter of what you feel is the best for you to use. If you just want to post articles and do basic stuff then aim for text-pattern, wordpress or Snews. Snews - I have it as a base on one of my sites - and as said - it's very easy to set up - but I wouldnt recommend it. Wordpress and Text-pattern does exactly what snews does - just much better. Text-pattern is more fun to work with than wordpress. ) Just my 2 cents...
it really depends on what you want to do...no one can tell you we can only point fingers into directions.
As Tony Montano says, really it depends what do you expect from CMS. None of them is best. Drupal is popular and SE friendly.
Joomla... 10points. There are a lot of good seo components for Joomla available. Easy templating system !
From the way I see it, Drupal and Joomla can do almost anything. My problem with Drupal is I have not seen any good looking sites. They all seem to be one column pages. Can someone show me a good looking Drupal site
ya, correct I've tried text-pattern in one of my project i.e. http://www.articledesktop.com Its preety easy and fast.
I use Joomla - I've tried others but found joomla to offer more for what I need, especially with extensions and such. I use wordpress but as a blog, although it too is a very good example of open source.
I think eZpublish would beat them all, but it's much harder to learn than Joomla. It's personal choice as always though Tim
I've come accross geek log http://www.geeklog.net before couple of days, do any one of you have used it? how it is?
