Hey guys, I just launched a site about 5 months ago called WeeklyScavenger ( http://www.WeeklyScavenger.com ) It basically provides Weekly Online Scavenger Hunts to anyone who wants to try it out. If people submit an answer, they get put into a raffle for $1-$20 depending on the week and such. It's a new idea that hasn't been done before, (although I do have competitors now that are similar to me.) I've marketed the site and built up the SEO pretty well, in my opinion, with a few hundred links, a PR1, Google indexing, search engine submissions and so on. Right now, the site has 500 registered users and averages over 20 answers a week, (sometimes 80-100 depending on the week, but lately down because of the summer.) I send out WeeklyNewsletters that receives over a 20% open rate and increases my traffic significantly. Usually I get 50-100 people a day. When the newsletter goes out and the new hunt is released, I usually get over 100 people. Just wondering what you guys think of it regarding any tips for it and a quick appraisal would be nice too Thanks
Neat idea. One suggestion would be to ask for their name and email address right in the popup window after they submit their answer. And also remove all the additional unnecessary fields from the main registration form unless you really do need all of their address information up front. Also if you're sending out weekly emails, I'd be including some CPA offers in the email as well.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm fixing the register page right now, (reminding me of your suggestion,) and I may fix the popup to be that way too. I'm working on the CPA offers in the email, but right now I'm working on direct advertisers.

I like the concept. You could even work with other webmasters to offer them traffic deals. Do a site a day where the users have to explore the webmaster's site for items and report back. Would be a nice win-win deal for the webmasters.

Yeah. We average around 60-90 UV per day and 10-20 answers per week. (Sometimes numbers up to 80 even.) We have over 500 users at the moment. Can anyone give an appraisal to the site?

Thanks for that. The lack of revenue is because we haven't talked directly to advertisers yet or put CPA ads in our newsletters. What age group is your targeted audience.
