I've seen this as well. I started a friend of mine on wordpress and immediately moved a bunch of my own stuff over once I realized it.

its strange because I have a number of wordpress sites, most of which are higher ranking than the site I mentioned above. The last post I wrote could be found within 20 min on google. Im not even targetting any specific keywords although we are 1 of five clubs in our city all competing for members.

Although our soccer club has a name that has nothing to do with city we live in, I registered the names of the city + fussball ( soccer ). The great thing is that anyone who types into google, fussball, bad soden or vice versa wont get around my site :)

So wordpress is doing its job nicely and although I am suprised at the amount of traffic I am getting I ll wait before putting any ads up ;-)

Okay..I just tried this once more to test the speed of wordpress. I just wrote a short post about rugby and published it about an hour ago and it just appeared on the front page of google.....

Dont you just love wordpress? ;-)

heres the url I tested: badsodenfussball.de/rugby-in-bad-soden/

I personally like doing an HTML/CSS site and then integrating Wordpress into the site's overall layout. This way you get the best of both worlds.

Yes. I agree with everyone here. I prefer wordpress. Wordpress is more powerful than joomla. I have compared it. Google indexed well my wordpress. I dont know why. If you say it caused by wordpress have some seo plugins, I am disagree. Joomla has some seo plugins too

yes...it has nothing to do with plug ins. I think each wordpress post sends out a ping and it doesnt take long for the post to get indexed.

Is there anything wrong post about 'wordpress seo ability' here at CMS section?

DP rules are hard to follow.

Google has been checked regularly if u updated at regular interval. Also one thing more that there is no another site on the German kiddies soccer club. Also Word Press is preferred by Google over Joomla.

I think it depends from theme of site. If it is pharma, you know, your Wordpress blog don't get first position in the Google.

Actually, I think if you're looking to run a complete [read: huge] website, Joomla! is a little better. If you're looking for simplicity and extendability - Wordpress and Drupal are better.

i put up a site a while back in wordpress, posted the first article(new domain), in less than 1 hour had a comment(real comment not spam) on the post.

pingler.com can also help your article get indexed quickly.

Contrary to popular believe it seens that not all people think that Search Engines like Wordpress.
    I just found this article:

"But there is a risk when using dynamic URLs: search engines don't like them. For those at most risk of losing search engine positioning due to dynamic URLs are e-commerce stores, forums, sites utilizing content management systems and blogs like Mambo or WordPress, or any other database-driven website. Many times the URL that is generated for the content in a dynamic site looks something like this:"

You can read the whole article here: http://www.webconfs.com/dynamic-urls-vs-static-urls-article-3.php
