Most Western people know it is not in a 9 year old girl's best interest to engage in marriage and sexual relations with a 52 year old man, regardless of the cultural setting. We know that, in our culture today, a person doing such a thing could possible be sent to prison for sex with a minor, statutory rape, or other related laws. Most of us find it questionable for Muhammad, a self proclaimed prophet of God, to do such a thing. We expect a real prophet to know better, or at least hear from God on the matter.

Everyone who is a bit more spiritual will tell you that the human body(ies there are three of them to my knowledge, physical, mental and astral bodies) is (are) not well developed at that age. At the age of nine a girl knows too little, let alone to be a mother or a wife.

I have nothing against the muslims. They are good people, but certainly I don't want them to follow such an example from their prophet.

I am just trying to put myself in the shoes of those parents who have girls 9 years old. I would never give my daughter no matter who is ordering me to give her for a wife at that age. It is just sick to think about it. He wants that girl for nothing more, but personal sexual satisfaction.

I have nothing against that prophet. Just his deeds about under aged girls and the treatment of women as commodities.

I don't like to subscribe in any of these arguments. However i found that it is absolutely crucial to do so as SOME people here need to be educated and have some more knowledge before they start posting in this forum and wate our time.

If you go and read about the time that the prophet mohammad (Peace be upon him) lived in, you would have not said what you said about him marring a 9 year old girl.

Firstly, the issue of the age is not fully resolved. Many muslim scholars say that he married her at the age of 16 but he did the legal marrage contract at the age of 9 so that he will be able to see her mohter's head without her having to wear a scafe infront of him(If you want to know more about this, PM me and i will give you a site or a small book to read about this issue as i don't have much time to write a whole story here).
But for the sake of argument, i will go with the age of 9 to make you happy.

Do you know that they used to live in a hot climate country? Do you know what that means?
It simply mean that a girl in the age of 9 years old will be equal in size and (at that time in matures) to a girl aged 16 -18 years old nowadays and become sexually mature. In hot areas, girls and boys grow up faster and quicker than cold areas.

Secondly, at that time, people used to get mature at a very early age (will, i am talking about arabia. Not sure about the rest). As an example of this, the prophet sent an army to fight the romans and the leader of this army was a boy aged about 16 years old.

Any hey, the most important thing is, if you READ about islam. You will know that at that time. The prophet had enemies form his tribe and his city whom were looking for every single mistake he do to annoy him and distract people away from listening to him. If that was a shame thing to do, they would not have let him go away with it without mentioning that. And they didn't say anything about that. Which means that he didn't do anything wrong.

I hope that i have clarified this issue. Also what you have posted here shows me that you have not read anything about islam. If what you do is you search for words that contain "kill, destroy" and other words in some websites and you copy that phrase taking it out of context, then please do read the whole page before copying some random stuff. Nothing wrong will happen if you read the whole page.

That's the same everywhere, many British royalty married in their early to mid teens. I guess it's just people taking todays standards and applying them to something that happened hundreds of years ago.

 

There is a major difference between a 16 year old and a 9 year old.

no way you can justify getting married to a 9 year old and having a sexual relation with her, unless you are talking about the dark age..
