Hi, how can you tell if someone has submitted your site to let's say 100 directories by hand or by using a software? I see a lot of guys offering their manual directory submission services for cheap.
The software sometimes has the field names wrong so the description and title can be swapped around etc, manual that is hard to mess up
Come on guys, do you ever read carefully what people write in their posts? I asked how can you tell if someone has submitted your site manually or using a software. Is it that hard to understand?
of course you can tell. Software will often place your website in the wrong category, especoally if the category does`nt exist.
I prefer to use the traditional way of doing directory submissions.. I get tons of back links using traditional way, compared to automated..
i submit my site to google, yahoo, live (bing) , ask and dmoz.. (these are the major search engines except dmoz)..i am wondering is there a good list of directory submission site that is worth submitting links?
you will get a confirmation e-mail from the directory website that your links has been submitted and waiting for approval. So you would know thru' that.
IF check the 100 dir quality and u feel all are good then no probelm for using SW.. tool make easy submission....
Try not to believe those crap. In 99,999% of the cases these are bad quality directories and link farms. I would suggest you to select some good quality directories and put some links there. This could take you more time than submitting it to 1 billion directories but generally it is better.
If your site is submitted to irrelevant categories then its sure that it is done with software. I am not against use of form fillers like roboform or such, i am against those which even dont require you to fill captcha's.
Thank you for your opinion. I've figured it out now: if the site is put in the wrong category then it must be software submission.
I maybe wrong but I do not see how someone can charge $2-5 for manually submitting your site to 100+ directories. Each site will take 30sec-1min to sign up for x100 = more than $2 - unless people are prepared to work for almost nothing.
