    This is an e-book I found.
    The steps are well illustrated and vividly illustrated

    Learn how to create your website in 5 Days.
    The summary of it all include:

    1.Planning: Do the following
    • Having a good website plan:
    • state your objectives
    • state your target market
    • Know your Competitors
    • Create a site map
    • choosing a good colour scheme
    • Sketch a web site
    2. Preparation
    • List material you already have
    • Organize your web site folder
    • Collect materials: Background Image, site logo, navigation buttons
    • Create optimizing images.
    3. Create Your Home Page:
    • prepare your web page
    • Insert your logo
    • create your navigation Bar
    • Format your sales Letter

    4. Creating Other Pages:
    • Web pages

    Like others have said you'd be much better off using premade engines and spending the 5 days installing mods / creating a good skin than starting from scratch, sorry mate :(

    Have to agree - most hosts now provide software. And to be honest, it's as much artistic ability as IT skills these days. Cracking layout and design are more important than the web bit.

    Since you are making your 10mins, I want to believe it is not a standard site. Maybe you misconstruing a "GOOD SITE" for a mere blogpage.
