Hello guys, I have a website that was ranked in the #4 spot in google for the chosen keyword. It has been on the first page of google results for about 2 years. 15 days the ranking dropped suddenly and my website is now on the 26th page. Well, I can't explain this. I changed nothing, really nothing during the last 3 months. Have you got any suggestions on how to re-gain the positions lost and about why the ranking dropped? Thank you very much.
Without the URL that was ranking and the keyword phrase it was ranking for, no one here can help you. Any "suggestion" you get otherwise would simply be a wild guess.
I did not post them because I wasn't sure it was allowed. Anyway, The url was: http://www.moneyreview.org The keyword was: profit lance When the ranking dropped, I started writing a new homepage for my website and I finished it yesterday. So the current "index.html" page I have online is NOT the one that has been in the 1st page in the google organic results for 2 years. The current "index.html" is a new page that I just put online yesterday, because I though that google will like it more than the old one, since the old one was on the 26th pages. The "old" index page is here: http://www.moneyreview.org/index-old.html
You mean there was no updates on the site in last 3 months?? If you have left working on the site and your competitors are still working to replace and this is the result you got there. Sometimes you must update something on the page or keep doing things like social bookmarking, article submission etc. No activity results lose in ranking.
thank you all for the reply. That should really be the problem. May I ask you which of these pages you prefer: www.moneyreview.org/index.html www.moneyreview.org/index-old.html
