2000 impressions and 5 clicks, is it ok??

from last many days i am facing a problem and that's my website traffic is improving at very good level but the number of clicks are going less n very less and that's the reason of drop in my per day earning from adsense. it was $4-$7 till a week back but suddenly it dropped n now my earning lies between 50 cents to $1.5.

will you guys please tell me why it is happening like this???
what can b the possible reason and how i can solve this issue..

I think you need to put up new fresh content on your site, just that

1, on your ads placements (You should be more specify with ads)
2, Ads color codes (Ads colors also so imp for improving ur cpc)

There could be a lot of things that can happen. one of them could your ad placement. your contents and your advertisers. since the economic downturn, some companies my have tighten up their belts and less is spent on advertising.

you should check and try to improve your ads placement.

 

If you haven't changed anything then just wait it out and keep adding new content, you should be getting more clicks with 2k impressions, around 10%.

 

Maybe is because of your traffic is not targeted like traffic from SB. Majority traffic from Social Bookmarking(SB) sites will not clicks on Google ads. This is what i observe.

Try to drive more targeted traffic and you may see changes.

5 clicks for 2000 impressions really less value. but actually it depends on the content of your website and ads placement. im getting 1200 impressions and more than 20 clicks per day

 

mine has 2k impressions and gets 30-50 clicks/day and still experimenting adsense placement for my 3rd slot which always have least number of clicks..

 

I think it's important to write content in a way , that at the end of it, makes the reader want to click on the adverts.

 

It also depend on where the impression is coming from. Is is real visitor or is it a kind of bot ?
If it's real visitior it's a bit low.
