Forgive and Forget.

My questions are also posted in the original thread. I was so surprised I wanted to ask the same here. (thanks)

Does the person who left me negative rep. (in my user CP, not I-trader) and an extremely rude comment (for this post, quoted above!!!) have the decent honesty to PM me and explain why?

    ^^^^^^^^^^^

    Questions for all members:

-I will forgive and forget this matter (I'm still thinking it's a friendly forum), but I'm curious if any 'spammy' brand new member is allowed to affect rep., or do you need at least 25 or 50 posts before 'trashing people'?

-Have any others had 'drive by shootings' for no apparent reason, and really rude comments?

    Thanks,
    MGH

well i havnt been here that long but if thats all that was in your post, i know on a number of forums people would consider that spam. a lot of people on forums just go around saying *thanks for the info* or *great link ill check it out* just trying to get their post count up. so maybe some one thought u were doing the same.

Thanks, for trying to help. It was in a "trade (actualy free in this case) services"
thread and nine other people sent messages almost exactly like mine. I'm just surprised and curious if others here get 'hit' for no reason (with swear words in the comments).

There generally is no valid reason to make a post to say your sending a PM while actually doing it unless you feel that there has been some trouble with the PM system delivering the mail, in saying that many people have done it and there are plenty drive by shooters in a forum this large for that to be targeted by someone, so you are not alone.

Just move on and try and make sure that when you make a post, it is for a valid reason to add to the community .... even if that ends up putting you in the minority ;)

If 9 people jumped of a bridge and all that, there are plenty people padding their post count, but you don't need to follow in a forum this large, you'll fair much better (here) making sure each post either informs or makes a valid point/question.

"There generally is no valid reason to make a post to say your sending a PM..."

There was only 10 free products, 5-6 were gone already, and I was 'reserving mine' (perhaps I did make a mistake, thank you for your advice). I'm done explaining, and just wondering if others had really rude comments with swear words lately?

    Thank you.
