Hi Guys! I run the WebSite Articles Directory PR of my website is 1. I have a lot of backlinks of my site app: 1000 backlinks but why PR of my web site is 1. and my other web site Games Cheats has of 256 Backlinks and its PR is also 1. i think PR is related to backlinks if the backlinks increase then PR is also increase but what happen to my Articles site???
PR is heavily influenced by the amount of backlinks, but also by the quality of them as well. Gaining backlinks from PR 1, 2, 3 sites isn't going to have as much of an impact as gaining backlinks from high-ranking PR-8 and 9 websites.
If you want high pr of your site, you should have backlink from a higher pr site. It is not the number of backlinks that matter, but the pr of the backlinking site/sites.
Focus on article creation and distribution on web 2.0 sites that allow you have to blogs. A new favorite is Ning and Friendster. Both high PR sites, allow you to post blogs, and get indexed quickly. Just keep creating content and distributing to high PR sites PR5+++
Exchanging links with relevant, high PR sites will boost your PR. Also try article and PR submission. You can get backlinks from that method.
PR is the combination of both the quantity and quality of the backlinks just think of the difference b/w the principal of Harvard's recomendation and 100 ordianry people's when u apply the Yale . and in your case , the article site , the qulity is weighs more i guess
To get a higher PR you require quality backlink rather than quantity and in the same sector as your own.
I agree, PR4+ links related to your niche is the best way to improve your PR. I also found that article posting on the 4-5 best websites can be very nice!
My dear friend, This is the good you have 1000 back links, but if you want to get PR then you should submit your site in PR links, because PR links are cached by Google soon.
I have to agree with this one remark. Web 2.0 sites can work wonders as far of traffic and PR however I would also focus on getting more backlinks from high PR sites instead of getting the bulk of my links from low PR sources.. Article submission is good for traffic/anchor text but not so much for PR imo...
It not only depends upon the number of backlinks but also the quality backlinks linking to your site, the site domain age and the site content and quality. It does not depends upon the numbers but the site content and quality.
Instead if trying to get too many back links from lowly ranked sites, try to get a few from highly ranked sites and you would surely see an upgrade in your ranking as well! Regards, RightMan
