Thats the first time I'm seeing this feature, go to google.com and type "nfs" and you will get "need for speed" highlighted Is this something new or I just havent noticed this before ? edit it is not because of the anchor text of incomming links or something, the text is highlighted like you were searching for this.. I did this with "ms", "os" and so on and it is working... My Bulgarian blog is even in top 20 for "nfs" for me, there are no incomming links with this text

That's been around since forever. Google just recognises some abbrv. and searches for the full word/s. They same way it searches for "cars" when you search for "car".
mmm don't know if that applies to all searches. I have a site for maps of Ibiza (not just one map). A lot more people search for "ibiza map" than "ibiza maps" the number of results are different as are the results themselves.
