I have read the ezine guidelines and I think that it says that link in the body of article is allowed ... but I don't remember any article that has links in the body itself. Is putting links in the body actually allowed. I have been asked by a client to do so..... pls help
I believe it is, although it had to be below the fold last time I did it. Remember to only put promotional stuff in the authors box area, forgot to do that and they told me to edit it. Hope that helps. Best bet would be to do a test article to see if they give you any errors about links.
Yes, you're allowed to put links in as long as they aren't Affiliate or as stated above, promotional links. Ezine does a great job of letting you know exactly what the problem is if an article is rejected, which also nice.
I believe that 2 links in the article body and 2 in the resource box are allowed. But I don't remember any ezine article that carries links in its body.......
okay ........ fine.. I guess that is settled then. No promotional links in the article body ... only in resource box
Yup, I had the very same issue with Ezine when i tried "bum marketing" though it took me a while to get through it
Make sure you read the ezine's terms and conditions carefully. For example, EzineArticles permits one self-promoting link in the body of the article (below the fold), and one in the signature. They won't put the article live until it meets these conditions, though they will tell you what the problem is.
By "below the fold" I hope you ppl mean that the link should not be posted directly and should be camoflaged in the running text. For example if I wish to put a link to DP then I can say... If you want to learn all about internet marketing, blogging and other such stuff, DigitalPoint is the place for you to hang out at. I hope that this is what u ppl mean ...?
Nope - this is something some article sites define to suit themselves. You need to check with the specific site you're posting in. For example (and from memory), EzineArticles defines above the fold as the first 3rd of the article. Contextual links are definitely the way to go when it comes to article marketing. No need to cloak anything.
So considering magaresp's advice (No need to cloak anything) .. is it better to say: If you want to learn all about internet marketing, blogging and other such stuff, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/ is the place for you to hang out at. OR If you want to learn all about internet marketing, blogging and other such stuff, DigitalPoint is the place for you to hang out at. which is a better practice?
"Above the fold" generally means the first part of a webpage / article / piece of text that you see on your screen before you scroll down to see the rest... Below the fold is all the content you have to scroll down to see.. Obviously screen resolutions are an issue here, so ezine say (as previously mentioned) that roughly the first 3rd of the article is 'above the fold'. (I dont know if thats true, im just going on what megaresp said )
