Hi, I recently started a health forum using vbulletin (the licence for that costs $100/yr). I am very interested in using SEO techniques to increase search rankings for the forum and helping pages get indexed. I now find out that there is a product called vbSEO which will "do all the SEO work for you"... they claim to make the URLs "Search engine friendly". The cost for this product is $149!! For example, it will take a url of a page and convert it to the title of the page automatically (i am not sure if that is even important anymore...digitalpoint forums for example are not doing this) I have seen other people say that vbulletin already is Search engine friendly while others refute (but many of these threads are over 1 year old). So my question is...Has anyone tried vbSEO with recent versions of vBulletin (which has some SEO built in)? Is it worth the money to buy this $149 thing?
I am using that for my forum. I think it worths the money. Then again vbSeo alone would not make a big difference if other elements for success e.g. content are missing.
If the OP is banned, than why respond to the thread? oops, I guess I did the same thing..lol and for the record, vbseo is a great tool, but you need backlinks to get high rankings
