In all seriousness, nobody knows but Google. If you tried to figure it out by analyzing trends, it would be sometime in 2-3 months. Of course Google has been known to skip an update or stretch it out (Or deliver half ass ones) So the answer in short is who knows
I wrote this down as I was so tired of typing it out http://www.marketingchat.org/content/view/194/4/
Lol, its a webmaster forum... Anyway, a lot of new members first posts are questions about PR. Its a lot easier to just answer them and then hopefully when they become addicted they will answer some of the new ones
God knows…………….sorry Google Knows Both can answer to your question and so to any other question in this world. I can predict – There ll be no PR updates with in next 2 month as we had one few days back
There's not really such thing as an average time between updates anymore. The time between each one has been increasing all the time.
Matt, This shows a nice pattern Mid-Summer (winter to our downunder mates) July 13, 2006 July 14, 2005 June 22,2004 Autumn update October 19, 2005 October 6, 2004 I won't make a prediction but I'd look for it around 6:35 am on October 22, 2006.
I don't think it's following that pattern, if you look closely Google have been following a changing PR update pattern - until now. Dec 2003 - June 2004 (monthly) June 2004 - October 2005 (every 3 months) The last few updates have had gaps of 4 and 5 months respectively.
My observation started with the era begining June 2004 but I didn't state that. There is a definite pattern but not an exact date pattern, more of a range pattern. I will stick with October 22 but will add a tolerance of plus or minus 2 weeks.
Then when you have decided when you think Google will update toolbar PR you can subtract almost exactly one month to get the snapshot date upon which they will have collected their data for the PR Toolbar update one month later, which makes us think towards mid september but realistically this could be anytime in September because nobody knows when the update will be, not even google, im not using a fullstop deliberatley so if you are still reading this why Ok so anyway point is if you are targeting some PR improvements in your sites then you need to have all your work done before september this is my opinion dont take me to court and if you are going to get your seo work and backlinking developement done for then it might take a week to get indexed/crawled depending on your current sites ranking at google so really mate who started the thread youve got about 1 week to get you work in place for an update that might happen in october. or might not. Oops i used a stop, if you appreciate this articulate response you can give me green rep thank you and good evening
maybe we should stop asking when Google will update page rank and work on building websites.. getting quality content. working on way to keep and attract visitors.. working on website newsletters etc.
