I started a site where individuals can rate and review personal services as well as other businesses. Please take a look, make a review on a service you're familiar with, and let me know your thoughts. It's a clean design with little graphics intentionally to simplify navigation and avoid clutter. The link is in my signature below. Thanks so much for your help... this is a great forum.
Try using other template, use other colors. You can still make it clean and neat with good color schemes and proper layout of contents. Good luck buddy.
So I'm going to put out this question... why the concern over attractive sites? My understanding is that some of the most popular sites like Google, Craigslist, Twitter, etc. are not attractive at all, but rather functional and useful.
There's a lot to improve on your site from the header logo to the layout. As what others have commented, find a new theme or template.
its better if you able to use some different theme. i didnt prefer that. try to be morer attractive. all the best.
PR3 273 backlinks but nothing in Google. Anyways good one! but have you complated with the looks and functionality!? You need to do lots yet... Hope you'll gain what you are after. Thanks Drona
Well, I would say - and I'm part of them - people wouldn't be seduced by the site as there's a lack of colors, harmony and clarity. People primarily buy, eat, drink and thus visit and will stay longer on your site with their eyes. Also, at first sight, we don't know what your site is all about. All the links are stick altogether and it would be nice to put a little more space between each of them, have the faq and other stuff line bold, center the title of the site, add a little more colors, a nice header. "Doctor, Daycare, Veterinarian, Nursing Home Reviews & More! Finding the Best in Your Area Starts Here" talk about the health related field and is not related to the site; which covers almost all domains. Yes, Google's site is white but their logo has many different colors and white is their brand, just like it is for Craigslist and I don't think they're popular because of their attractiveness but for many other reasons. For instance, Craigslist seems to be online since 1995, when the Internet wasn't so popular or available to the average Joe and the sites weren't as beautiful as they are now. They started with such design, they probably can't do a make-over as people would be lost. I had a look at the designer of your site and noticed they have a lot of nice templates. You should find one that would become your own. Your site must reflect your personality not the one of Google or Craigslits or Twitter Just my two cents. Good luck in your endeavours! Have a great day, Dom.
