Out of all your sites, which niche performs the best? No need to go into CTR, EPC or any of that just the name will do. For me: Mortgages Might be interesting to see people mention things like Carpentry or Needlework or some obscure topics.
My online game stats page seems to get a decent amount of traffic and repeat visitors, but the earnings are modest. It took me a while to convince Adsense that the game "Freelancer" has nothing to do with freelance contracting and outsourcing, but that's a tip for another thread... Cryo.
A certain kind of insurance, a certain kind of car, and a certain kind of loan are three of my best niches.
Corwin, please tell me more, because I'm really stuck on this problem: My best performing niche in terms of traffic is "ASP.NET", which is in a similar "tech" category to microprocessors. But my income is nothing from this because people who know programming never click on ads. Do you have a particular slant on microprocessors that gets you traffic that actually results in clicks on your ads? How do you make any money on this? Are you reviewing microprocessors, selling them, or teaching people to use them? My best performing niche in terms of $$$ is medical equipment.
loans and credit, laser hair removal, breast lift, drywall, aluminium alloy, hoist, crm, prefabricated steel buildings - in no particular order. the ones that seem to really perform badly for me are - dogs, cats, digital cameras, guitar in the middle - golf, gardening
Yes to everything in your last sentence. But... ASP.NET is not similar to microprocessors, in the same way that ASP.NET is not similiar to office coffee. I'm a hardware engineer, and I've been designing using microprocessors and microcontrollers for the past 15 years. I get deep into the inside of the stuff. My website is over 350 pages and has been online for ten years. This is real "know your visitors" stuff. Hardware engineers, who are the guys that actually put together the schematic diagrams, have a low tolerance for marketing flak. For example, never tell a HW engineer that "this is the first microprocessor that..." because he'll argue with you whether he's right or not. Do a Google for Embedded Systems, my website is in the Top 10. My market is not the people that program web pages, my market is the people that program in assembly the microcontrollers that go into your car, your computer mouse, your coffee pot. I am focused on Content, Content, Content.
