Not sure we have a dedicated one for such an offense, luckily it hasn't happened often yet. Depending on the severity, maybe a few days unpaid leave :)

After reading this thread, I can now see the possible abuse in this system.
The mods should have the ability to delete bad itrader if the facts are there to do so.

Seems like tops30 is on top of this and is helping.

At least the abuse is not like on ebay!

I agree with this. iTrader abuse could be prevented if MODS are given these privileges.

Our priviliges would not prevent it. By then the feedback is already given. Use the iTrader report feature (not post but iTrader triangle in your Profile) and it will be dealt with usually in 48 hours.

Offenders should be publicly flogged with diahorrea-filled stockings.

Now that's a good suggestion. Been here over two years and finally we get something sensible thrown our way... What do you suggest we do with spammers then mcfox?

I would suggest the person who donates the diahorrea only eats spam prior to the filling of the stockings.

Yes, shit by any name is still shit .... like anyone who abuses the iTrader is a piece of shit.

Damn, now I went and cussed and it's a Sunday :(

Oh well, it had to be said :p

Possible definitions of diarrhea or diarrhoea:

    • Frequent and watery bowel movements.
    • A frequent and profuse discharge of loose or fluid evacuations from the intestines; a purging or looseness of the bowels.
    • frequent, loose, and watery bowel movements; a common symptom of Crohn’s disease.
    • A condition in which a person's bowel movements are too frequent and the consistency is abnormally soft and loose.
    • Uncontrolled, loose and frequent bowel movements. In the United States, almost all people with AIDS develop diarrhea at some time in the course of their disease. Severe or prolonged diarrhea can lead to weight loss and malnutrition. The excessive loss of fluid that may occur with AIDS-related diarrhea can be life-threatening. There are many possible causes of diarrhea in people who have AIDS. ...
    • A watery evacuation of the bowels, without blood.
    • Passing frequent and loose stools that can be watery. Acute diarrhea goes away in a few weeks, and becomes chronic when it lasts longer than 4 weeks. Dilatation: Expansion of an organ or vessel.
    • A condition in which the movement of food through the digestive system is faster than normal; often results in the frequent passing of abnormally loose or watery stool.

So ... back to TOPS30 question as to what to do with spammers ... pick a definition above and change their custom user title to one of them :p

I like "WEotB" - Watery Evacuation of the Bowels. Sounds quite romantic in a way. They'd deserve a version WITH blood though.

Yes, instead of banned it could say FaWBM or the likes ... that would pretty well state the feelings of how DP members feel about the little shits ....

Just ran across this on the top of my GMail page - we could change a spammers profile to:

    SPAM VEGGIE PITA POCKETS

    Recipe By :
    Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00
    Categories : Sandwiches

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 cn SPAM Luncheon Meat, cubed
    -(7 oz)
    1 c Chopped broccoli
    1 c Chopped cauliflower
    1 Tomato, chopped
    1 Carrot, peeled and chopped
    1/3 c Chopped cucumber
    1/3 c Finely chopped onion
    1/2 c Italian salad dressing
    4 Pita pocket breads, halved

STATE FAIR RECIPE Carol Green, Austin, MN.
In bowl, combine SPAM, broccoli, cauliflower, tomato, carrot,
cucumber, and onion. Toss with dressing. Cover and chill several
hours. Spoon salad mixture into pocket bread.

... or maybe just change their user title to Recipes for Spam

A thread go off topic at DP? Unheard of!

... but in all honesty, it's nice to vent a little about scammers and spammers sometimes, else we tend to take it too seriously.

Your situation will be corrected within a few hours hopefully; good luck :)

The person who has misused the iTrader should get banned for some time from buyer-seller section
