Yeah I only had like 38 views on a certain site, but I had 3 clicks with a 7.89% CTR. The page eCPM is $0 (which I'm stating because I think it MAY be relevant), and of course the earnings is $0. Can anyone please explain this to me. I didn't ask anyone to click the ads, nor did I click them myself. Were the clicks from countries un-wanted by the ads? Therefore resulting in no money for me but a click-thru for them? Someone please explain this to me, it's happened several times before. Cheers, -Aidan.
They could have been from a banned IP address, banned country, someone Google realized was just clicking on ads all over the place. The person could also have clicked on an ad then jumped off the landing page very quickly which would signal a bad click. There are a ton of variables. The exact algorithm isn't known for determining fraudulent/irrelevant clicks, but those are a few possibilities.
So your saying you've had this happen before and you still never got paid? How many clicks do you need before its considered enough to pay you for?
I have the same feeling about it... probably Google has it as an invalid click and they do not give money for it. Thanks JulieV
I would like to add a point here since all you DP members have already advised him abut his issues. Why don't Google stop showing ads when the site is viewed in a country which Google do not pay for serving ads specially China. In this way we won't be getting clicks from users from those countries. Another area Google needs to think and improve.
Ah okay, thank you everyone. It was just a little confusing (and disappointing), because the day before the ePCM was $37 and I only got 1 click.. . But yeah, I guess this happens. Thanks everyone for your input, it takes a little of the frustration out of it . -Aidan.
this happened to me once. And the next day, i got the clicks monetized, google updated and paid me 48 cents for 2 clicks. But when the clicks were made, it showed me 0 $, 0$ eCPM etc. Just wait, maybe tomorrow you will have the same experience i had.
Well unfortunately it is the 'day after' now and it's still showing nothing. Thanks for the response. -Aidan.
Thanks yet agai neveryone. Is there anyway that I can choose to show my ads JUST to UK, US and other high converting countries? Thanks, -Aidan.
