i liked more the second one, though. It looks more "pro". I don't know too much about "what is good and what is not", but i certainly like the second, a lot more.
Why don't you experiment a little with various colors, I mean its a jokes/funnies website. Keep working on it, keep experimenting..I don't quite like the background gradient... I like to see bright colors (something exciting) on a funny website. it's better than the first one but look at other competitors websites and make a list of good things they have and find a way to creatively use those on your design Goodluck!
Thanks, I know the second is definately a lot better. Is there anything specific I should improve? I can't really afford to keep trying new things, I don't do the designs, my programmer does. Should the colors be changed on the new layout? I'll get my programmer to change the background gradient a little. You don't like it, it's changed! Anything else? My success relies on your comments!
Maybe the site lacks of something attractive. I don't know, something like "joke of the day" and stuff like that posted on the index, maybe a funny picture too...you know what i mean? like putting a little bit of content to make people want find out more about it.
better then before, still you can always improve on the design try making it colorful and decent to impress visitors
Yeah I wrote down some ideas for my programmer to change, when he redesigns the new design I'll ask for you guys opinion again.

Seem's to me like both are the same.. maybe because I'm late and you've mad the change. I find the small writing and the purple in the middle a little hard to read. May want to deal with that in the future. Kind regards, Vaz
Yeah I think he already swapped to the new design. I agree with Vaz, you should change the font (try black) or background colour.
I tried doing the old <font size="+1"> but that makes it too big. I need to find a way to make it just slightly bigger.
I'll give my two cents. I would change the colors and align all the text to the left. I would make a header that tells something about the site. At this time the only way to find out about the site is to read the text. You have 3 seconds to let someone know about your site. Make the header have pictures of people laughing or something to let the visitor know it’s a fun site. I would remove the Google search box from the bottom of the page. Everyone I’ve ever talked said it does not pay enough to amount to anything. Make the Google ads match the page and move them into the text if you plan to make money with them.
