OK, I setup a campaign which has like 1-4 competitors TOPS. Now it's setup as an affiliate redirect link and I get:

15 keyword(s) are currently inactive for search.

My minimum bids are anywhere from

    Inactive for search
Increase quality or bid $1.24 to activate

    to as high as

    Inactive for search
Increase quality or bid $12.35 to activate

I'm aware of all that has been going on with the new update and about the minimum bids going up but...
If I make any changes to the ad/url such as a landing page to increase quality score how long before these changes are reflected? Does the Adwords bot crawl your page when you re-submit the new ad right away?

If you change the ad/url You need wait it to revaluate the quality score so it will take a max of 24 hours to reflect the changes.

I haven't had time to try it out yet but nothing seems to make sense.

You can make this test procedure your self to evaluate it - just make sure to use relevant landing page for the test works.

How about this...even though I have an adgroup with "inactive keywords" my ads are still showing up sometimes, anyone else experience this?

This is pretty usual, read the small lines on the botton of your adgroups and you see stating this.

AdWords will show "activate" temporary some of your inactive keywords to test how it perform to intent to activate it again.

This is a limitation distribution so is a good idea to delete the inactive keywords that you are not interested in to do not waste this oportunity to the keywords that you are really interested in have activated by itself.
