    Hey guys.

So I'm looking for a new digital camcorder/camera for myself.

I really want one that shoots decent video and takes nice pictures. I prefer that it is compatible with an SD card, too.

I was hoping for a small one, to easily fit in my pocket.

Think the "Flip" cameras. Small, compact, nice quality.

Anyway, before I go buying stuff, I want to get some opinions. Should I get the Flip? If I do get it, it'll be the Flip Ultra HD. The only problem I see is that the image stabilization in the videos are pretty bad.

(Just FYI, I'm no photographer or anything. I just want something simple yet powerful just so I have it for vacations, outdoor stuff, parties, friends, etc).

So yeah. Flip? Good? Bad? Other suggestions?

    Thanks a ton, guys.

EDIT: Actually, I just read that the Flip Ultra HD can't take still pictures, and that's a necessity for me, so, I guess that's out of the question.
    Any suggestions guys?

Well, Flip is also good. :)

But I will suggest you to get a Sony Cybershot.. as its slim to fit in your pocket and pics and videos taken from it are superb.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like a good camera, and it is thing, but how is the video quality compared to, say, the Flip Ultra HD or Creaive Vado HD?

yeah I too second digital shubhi. Sony is a great brand and you'll absolutely love the pictures especially with that exceptional Carl Zeiss lens. :D

nd btw..only Sony memory stick pro duo card is compatible with Sony models.
    All the best

Thanks for another comment, but again, like I asked, how's the video quality compared to the Flip-type cameras?

What I'm basically looking for is a Flip-type camera PLUS the ability to take nice pictures.

After a good hour of searching, I've come up with nothing.

Is there no Flip-type camera that can take still pictures on the market? The hell?...
