Weird forum post - can anyone help me out

I had a weird forum post on my forum and I don't know where it has come from. It is the bottom post written in another language:

"Предлагаем услуги: взлом rambler, взлом yandex, взлом mail."

Weird thing is that is was posted by a guest and I don't allow guest posting.
It says that its does not exist when I click on it.
When I try and delete it there is an error with the database and it won't delete.

So, I don't know where it came from and I don't know how to get rid of it other than going into the database and looking.

Have you looked in the forum admin to check no one has managed to hack in and add themselves as a admin or similar?

has your forum been going long? could you wipe it completely clean?

I'd be bringing this up on the phpBB forums instead of here. I was going to say that the theme got hacked but it sounds like you found as least something in the database on it.

Just for reference, the phrase translates from Russian to English as:

We offer: hacking rambler, hacking yandex, hacking mail.

 

I don't want to wipe it clean as its taken nearly a year to get to this stage.

Thanks for the translation. It does sound a bit dodgy. Although the post was more than a month ago. I only just noticed it. They haven't done anything else since so I could be ok.

The phpbb forum isn't as good as this one. That's why i brought it up here.

 

I'm more concerned that it may be a security issue though. Someone there on the phpbb boards may recognize the issue and suggest a fix.

 

check the folder and files in your templates directory are NOT chmod 777

have you looked in your list of users for the user name?

 

The user doesn't exist. No the files are 755 or 744.

it has to be one or the other surely:

a) a template file that has been hacked
b) a user that is in the database that you can delete, or a post that is in the database that you can delete

 

I couldn't find the post in the database. Do you know how I would go about fixing the template if it is hacked?

 

Its an xrumer post mate. Just delete it.
