Definetely choose something you have passion for, but also do some homework before hand. Take the time to research your niche to figure out your competition levels.

 

Choose a topic that you *know* and care about, if you already understand the niche you will find the learning curve to be much easier.

 

To have clear feedback, you need to disclose how much money you want to invest and what are your prospects about the investing.

I am a website hosting company owner, an owner of a Computer Services & Consultation Company within my local area and own various website (webmaster).

I believe that you can do what you want to do and still earn from it providing that you take the time to make the right plans.

Using Google, look for business plans and do some research into what Niches (Markets) are doing well at this time.

BUT, remember to monitor these closely in order to get an accurate overview before you jump in without knowing that you can swim.
