You may want to start a niche. It may be your market. your market may be very saturated , and that may be the reason why you aren't making money. Let me ask you a question. What is your niche market currently?
Well if we say about look of my sites.. before i have very premium and good design.. but i was reading those adsense design are the best...
Hm, sorry.. What do you mean with that ? Niche Market ? My niche for my websites is forex, credit cards... What do you think is best ? Am i wrong ?
DO not focus your energy on monetization yet. If you don't have much money to spend on advertising them usually by my experience you need to wait about 5-6 months till site 'grows up'. Build content, connect, wait till Google starts to rank you well. Believe me, after 6 months of that, you will earn good money. Choose good domain name ( do you know about https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal ) and your topic first. Don't just go for popular Adsense topics, find what's popular now, find domain name with good keywords, build blog around it. That's how I started. Go for niche topics - and by that I mean - don't go for movies - go for twilight. Don't go for music - go for these jonas brothers. Start iPhone tutorial site. I don't know, find what's popular now ...
That's very useful ! Hm no problems to wait for me about 6 months.. Do you think is good to make a few sites ? Where to get very good unique tutorials ? I have domain: adobe-photo-shop-tutorials.info .. i think i can do something with it ...I will search for something that is popular ...
I don't know how much time it takes you. With more knowledge and experience, you can run more sites at time. I started with one. I wouldn't recommend more than 2. Where to get it? Well, look what people are asking on forums, research that topics by yourself, write them on your own. It's really not that hard. Put some good pics, make tutorial look good, optimize it for Google. I never purchased single article but I suppose you can look at guru.com. Look at sites like howtogeek.com or simplehelp.net and see what they are doing. Also, I totally recommend Thesis theme if you are on Wordpress.
Use free methods to get your sites a little better ranking before you start paying for advertising. That should be a final step. Good luck
Actually i am in the same position with TS, i know coding, hosting stuff and photoshop. Got 1 client from scriptlance since June 2007 and continue working as his programmer till now. This is my monthly income source. other income (since Jan 2009): searching small business in my town, and tell them i can promote their business to the internet for xx% profit sharing. -make a website for them (host to my own reseller hosting acc) -promote the website to my local classified ads (most of them promote 'their website' to local newspaper by themself) Have done 15 projects so far.. Hope you get the point! exam: http://dhjp.co.id/
if you can do PHP programming, may be you can partner with some graphic designer and sells wordpress themes online... or makes iphone apps... or do free lance. Isn't hard to make money if you can do some decent programming projects..
Why not you join freelance sites and do programming related online jobs? You can make much more than $1 per day with such work. And if you want to make money from your websites, then try to concentrate on one/few sites. Add quality content and try to increase its ranking in SERPs. Traffic = $
