170 submissions no backlinks

Hi I have submitted my website to more then 170 directories on saturday it still doesn't show me any backlinks till today's date. please help me when will I see backlinks

 

It usually takes about 2 weeks before you see the first one with the yahoo link command. Be patient and just do a few submissions every day and you'll start seeing them add up before the end of the month.

 

Wow three whole days and no links? I think you should email every one of those free directories you submitted to and complain!

 

hahaha I will try that too swedal usually I am habitual of seeing my links in google within 4-5 hours of submission thanks freelistfool

The thing is with free directories you may wait weeks, months or even years just for them to get your submission reviewed... No incentive for the editor of it to hurry with reviews.

Submitting to them may be worthwhile over the long haul if you have the xtra time but I would not expect any immediate results.

Submit to pay for review directories and most should have them reviewed within hours or days at the most.

 

Also, once your site is listed in a free directory, it usually takes weeks for the search engines to index the deep internal pages, especially if the directory is relatively new.

 

Article submissions are different to directory submissions, especially when the article site is Yahoo they will get indexed quickly

Like everybody is saying it takes time for directory links to start showing, even if they are approved within a day it still takes Google time to index those links.

 

You can't compare a link on a social bookmarking site on one of the biggest domains on the web with a directory. Of course a link on Yahoo gets indexed fast. It doesn't matter if the directory is free or paid, I would find it hard to believe that a directory could offer a 23 minute index rate consistently.

You're also assuming that all directory owners will add your site quickly.

I never bother checking my links in google nor there webmaster tools as they dont
get updated frequently enough so i check yahoo and Bing as most of the time within
2 weeks that link is showing which means its being indexed.

Also you just submitted a few days ago so i doubt many free directory owners have even
had the chance to look at your site let alone approve it yet.... if ever... (give it a month or so)

It can take very long to have your link accepted in free directories, but it will do you well in the long run.

 

unless you pay for faster inclusion they usually take a day to 6 months to index you using the free option without a backlink to them.

 

I think you need to wait for 1-2 weeks,because directories have many pending resources so that it will take time to get back link.

I too think to you need to wait for 1-2 or 3 weeks.

 

You should start seeing listings on 'latest links' page within 2 weeks but actual category pages can take more time in getting indexed (reindexed in most cases).

Directory backlinks will be shown only after the directories approve your website. Directory approval will take sometime. Usually all the submission are manually checked to avoid spam. You need to wait 2-3 months and then check your backlinks once again.

 

It will show within 1 week. Wait and see....

 

Just keep building backlinks..this is a slow and steady process...as Swedal said above, free directories dont approve immediately so it will take time...
