    Hello,

I set up an affiliate marketing site. I have had 150 UV in one week, but only 5 clicks and ZERO conversions. The products that I'm selling are amongst amazon bestsellers. Not sure why I haven't received better CTR or no conversion.

I am doing article marketing to promote the site and the 3 pages that I've promoted and received traffic to are listed below. My articles have a 25-30% conversion on ezinearticles.

    http://www.comparisonelectronics.com/samsung-ln22b360/

    Please advise and thank you.

Well for starters... change the theme for the wordpress blog. Not sure why...but it looks too bloggy...a bit unprofessional and not that great. Good electronic sites have a specific feel to them.

You are trying to sell something that is over 1k? Seriously... you will need to revamp...get some testimonials from people that have bought it etc. This is a high ticket item.

I agree with sarah, and are you receiving targeted visitors? that is very important specially for those items that cost that much. Another factor is time. You need to get known to your prospects before you try to sale them.

I agree with above posters. You need to make your site more attractive to buyers. I for one I would not trust it , so that's a clue you have to change things so the peoples would feel that your site can be trusted. I agree with the testimonials idea, also on the "bloggy" feel. There are much better suited themes which you can customize further.
Another thing to change is color scheme -you need more vibrant and "pushy' colors that will suggest action for this type of site.
    just my 2 cents

Thank you all. I have no intention of giving up. I just need better direction since this is the first time i'm doing this.

Akshay: What do you mean by "Check and verify" everything?

Awery: What do you mean by pushy colors? How do I make the site look more trustworthy?

I've already done on site SEO. I have all my meta tags and alt tags set up and the content has a decent keyword density. In fact, I have already noticed that i'm on page 1 of google for some keywords, which was shocking considering that my site is only 10 days old.

Same as above really - look for an electronics theme for your blog, you can get some that aren't that 'bloggy'. I'm surprised that you're not trying to collect people's details when they land on the website either.

again, these are high priced items and 5 click throughs is nothing really, i'd start to think about it after i'd received 100-200 click throughs and still not made anything.

rethink the design with the 'site goal' in mind and market your offering more effectively.

Too much product info on 1st page. Save that for the product page. Colors are not vivid enough. They don't say, "Hot deals on electronics!" Your colors need to be indicative of your product. i.e. - blacks, silver, red, white, etc...

Make your brands more visible. More pronounced. Not much excitement happening on this site. Not compelling enough to MAKE me want to pull out my CC and buy something. Consider your visitors and what they are thinking. Would you buy something from this site?

I think you need more pictures and links on the navigation because i was looking through it and when i finally got to a picture i went to panasonic and model numbers were listed i had no idea that they were tv's until i clicked on the page, and i don't know about you but if i dont know anything about tv's i wont know the model number so having a price with no picture of what it is tells me to just leave the website and say forget it and just go straight to amazon and search tv's. or whatever you may be selling at the time. so a picture on the main navigation site

    example: p42g10
(link)Price Amazon: 1000 picture over here.
    (link)Price Ebay: 1110

I just wouldn't want to have to click twice to see any info on it besides a model number and random in stock text.

    hope that helps!

Thanks guys, these tips are really good. I am already working on the design.

MafiaHaven, I am also trying to devise a way to take your tips into consideration. Since i am using wordpress, i still need to figure out how to do exactly what you're saying.
