Hello all, here's a stupid question. If I run a website about cars for instance, when choosing my meta keywords, should I use car (singular form) or cars (plural), or both? Thanks in advance
I always use plural because if you search Google for singular, the results will often be taken from plural keywords. For example if you search for "Exotic Car" you will often see the top search results from google looking something like Exotic Cars for sale, luxury exotic cars buying guide.... etc. Also, if you already have one in your URL for example your uRL is luxurycar.com put cars in your meta since google uses the keywords in the URL
Don't worry too much about your keywords metatag. Most search engines ignore that tag due to previous overspamming. If you want to rank for both a singular and plural form of a word, just make sure both versions are in your content and make sure that you have some backlinks that use version as link anchor text. Usually if you can get ranked for plural version, getting ranked for the singular version is easy, and vice versa. In a very competitive niche, you may have to give more attention to each version.
@hrcerquiera than relying on back links, the traffic should not be overlooked, Traffic + Placement Ads = Earning, are you agree with this simple formula? I can only convey to the tips for increasing blog traffic is to see what the hot look for the day. If your response you can get traffic up to thousands per day just by writing an article.
Hello Friend, First you should check the keywords in Google , traffic and then you should put up car and cars for the example if any site is related with jobs of hotel then we should use keyword hospitality job and hospitality jobs then the meaning is same but search volume is different both of keywords.
