Well, Google has become God. Why is it that just a search engine is able to dominate the World so much ? I'd say, lot of industries like stock market, IT and other similar verticals are just surviving because of Internet. When we have so much of human power, why is it that the World is still being run by a machine ? Of course, it was invented by a human but at some point of time in the human life line, these machines have over powered mankind. Just a strange thought that ran through my mind. What do you guys feel about it ?
Google has become godlike because it makes the Internet, a gateway to theoretically all information, extremely easy to explore by the use of a simple search box.
Google has acquired a dominant position in the internet world, simply because it managed to accomplish, a then seemingly impossible task of having to index the content from all over the internet and make it look orderly! Because a human can't save all the data on their brain. But machine can store all the data and analyze everything. Note: Machine is still created by human so the whole idea and the algo is created by human.
Hi All, I have read your comments on this question and found something Interesting. Some experts are taking it as joke and some are confuse with machine dominant world. First, I would like to clear about experts views- Computer world is not too old, hardly 4 to 5 decade make this world more powerful and it is very useful for our day to day life. Few years before we take some days and months to send some document for another country and face so many problems in this but now we can send our document in fraction of seconds. whole world is being depend on this internet and web could not imagine life without this. We can hope that it will also improve in coming years and we will be true friends to improve this world. Second- if you are scared to loose your work due to technology improvement then you should work on yourself to improve your skills because progress never stop for any one person. Today google and other major search engine make life more easy and you can search your desired website and products in few seconds. If you would like to give impressive and comfortable life to your near and dear then you have to work for yourself so that you and your friends can enjoy this life. Progress is the process to achieve new things each and every day.........just do work for your skills and world will be good in your life.
google has really dominated the internet for over 15 years now....its just a search engine..made by a man and monitered by several thousands of people...google would'nt function with such effeciency without these many people working for its development, so its a machine run by thousands of people! There is nothing such as Machine V/S Man!
Google is certainly the reference for the search engines, but it think the problem is more our dependence to technologies (not just Google). For example, some people are not able to go on vacation without their Blacberry. Sure Google is at the top right now.
