    SEO means search engine optimization, in easy words getting top ranking at search engine with some techniques and improving website according to search engine guidelines.
    In last 10 years, search engine optimization develop its different position in the world of internet. you can easily find particular theme related websites in fraction of seconds. I hope it can improve its services as human being improve itself rather then lost its importance.

    Try to focus on your skills to improve this field not just ruin this.

    There will always be a need to index all of the websites out there. The only thing that will really change is the algorithms used by search engines.

    Yes but google dont want people to be able to trick the system , which is pretty much exactly what SEO is .. Google will find a way to rank websites , which no one can trick or self improve

    Search engine optimization will never die. Website site owners will always be tweaking their sites to make them appear better in the search engines. And this covers everything from the meta description all the way to keyword placement in articles.

    Seo will die in two conditions .
    First is search engines die out and second is ppc campaigns are super cheap and they don't need seo to make their internet market more cost effective .
    Actually it won't happen .
    ( PS, remember ppc is left hand of IM and seo is the right hand of IM. lol )
