Okay, so I was one of thee people he did the links for, and I would have been a bit disappointed if I had paid for them. They were all links from profiles on websites and I don't think their PR carries on. Yes the main website has high PR, but the links don't even show in in Google Webmaster Tools.
I don't think I'm all the respected, but I do have enough green pips to fool people. I also have some unadvertised sites that could certainly use such a boost! So I'm certainly game to being considered for this.
Here's my review : As the TS mentioned, his method is similar to the backlink strategy that Angela / Paul offer; create accounts on high PR sites that allow you to create a profile and add your own links. TS created 10 such accounts and posted my requested anchor text / link on these; one of them was deleted (don't know why), but he created a new one to compensate. So far, two of the backlinks appear to have been indexed by the google bot, and I've received a few clickthrough's coming from these new links. Still small, but indicative of the potential once all of these have been spidered. TS also sent me the account details for all these, plus the email account that was used to create the accounts. I needed to ask for this before it was sent; guessing that it was because he's just started this and working out the full offering. Overall, I'd grade this as a good job, decently done. Suggested to TS that he should a) Share out the list of potential sites with buyers to choose (mix and match); or alternatively, allow buyers to pick out one choice from 3 - 4 alternative sets (if mix and match is too difficult to implement). b) send complete report (including account details / email account). I've requested for pricing details, willing to buy for a few of my other sites...
