Is Social Bookmarking links permanent?

Hi,

i am wondering are links from social bookmarking permanent? if not how long do they last?

Does google value links from social bookmarking sites? (like digg?)

Please advice

 

if you don't get banned then yes these are permanent. digg is no more linking site direct. opening link in frame....but yeh google value links from social bookmarking sites.

you can submit in other social bookmark sites to get backlinks. only digg have changed it's style. so yeh no more backlinks from digg.

 

Yes, you can get back link but you need to find out if they are do follow links? We have some list at List of Social Bookmarking Sites if you like submit your link to many social bookmarking, you just need to sign up/register in all social bookmarking sites and submit your links/website. Also, make friends in all social bookmarking site and ask them if they can vote for your sites that way your site will be bounce back on top.

 

Yes.. I think so.. Your site will only be deleted if they are found to be spam ones.. I had some instances like that.. Any tips so that you will not get banned from these social bookmarking sites.. I am marketing a service.. Please share some tips... Thanks..

digg using iframe? whenever i click the heading to my site..it shows a top bar and my site at the bottom.. if that's the case , don't you still get links?

 

I just submitted my new site ti Digg and got two backs 4 days ago

 

Are you serious? i submit 20 links.. but none get back links from digg.. how do you check them anyway? i use yahoo site explorer

 

Its not perminent.. its based on the linked site.. if the site page on which contains ur link stop indexing the link will vanish after some time

 

no social bookmarking sites likns are not permanent . they only given you traffic ,,

my conclusion about social bookmark links are the following:
a) social bookmark can actually bring lots of traffic to your site. (do not submit irrelevant site to social bookmark- you might get initial visit- but it will not last - submit site that match your description)

b) some social bookmark site do give you backlinks. with respect to digg.. you will get backlinks from its internal search engine--> for example:

http://digg.com/search?s=good+book

(in other words, ppl is searching for your site in digg and pays you a visit). - it stays in my as a backlink to my site for almost 1 month now (still there).

Conclusion: social bookmark can give you high quality traffic if your site submitted is relevant. with respect to link buildings, i would say it is less effective than trying to submit a post in forums. But who cares , it seriously generates traffic to your site. In a nut shell i would recommend social bookmarking as a way to generate traffic.

PS: if you want to generate backlinks --> yahoo answer is one of the way to generate backlinks kinda of effective (of course, you need to provide relevant answer or something related to what the asker is asking for)
