Dat don't make no sense! In fact, it's borderline ridiculous considering the question I asked you.

And how exactly do they support entrepreneurship?

Or do you mean that right-wingers support the free market (laissez-faire) system and deregulation (which has been so great for the country; scandals notwithstanding).

For example: in countries like Finland, the highest income classes pay well over 50% in taxes, that kills productivity. The US is successful because of what so many critisize about it, taxbreaks for corporations.

    I voted centrist.

I'm with the repubs on immigration
I'm with the dems on Net Netrality
I'm with the repubs on war (for the most part)
I'm with the dems on abortion
I'm with the repubs AND dems on stemm cells (along with the rest of America that has a brain)

And I'm against Bush 99% of the time.

like to think of myself as centrist w/ a slight orientation to the left rather than the right.

But these questions are often also in the eyes of the beholder.

It's also missing the "Fence Sitter" section and "Blame America First" sections.

i think the categories for this poll are confusing. below is a list of political positions and explainations taken from http://www.lewrockwell.com also here is a link to a quiz to see where you fall within these categories

    http://www.selectsmart.com/FREE/select.php?client=zeron

Centrist – Just what it sounds like. Someone who doesn’t have any particularly strong ideological leanings in any direction.

Conservative – Specifically a "fusionist" conservative of the National Review - Heritage Foundation mold. Someone who believes in traditional morality and capitalism, and the need for a limited government to allow both to flourish.

Left-libertarian – The quiz uses a mild definition of a left-libertarian, an anti-statist who is somewhat fearful of corporate and religious influence on public life.

Liberal – Supports economic regulation to promote social justice and takes a progressive stance toward moral or cultural issues.

Libertarian – A libertarian opposes most or all government activites. Does not favor much or any government support for either moral or economic systems.

Neoconservative – A "neocon" is more inclined than other conservatives toward vigorous government in the service of the goals of traditional morality and pro-business policies. Tends to favor a very strong foreign policy of America as well.

Paleoconservative – "Paleocons" want less US involvement in foeign affairs than other conservatives and oppose mass immigration. They are also more favorably disposed toward the South and the idea of secession, or at least decentralization, than neoconservatives.

Paleo-libertarian – Similar to other libertarians except for oppostion to mass immigration, and shares the paleocon appreciation of the South.

Radical – Critical of bouregois morality and strongly opposed to capitalism and willing to use state power to achieve desired ends.

Third-way – More supportive of foreign intervention than liberals and less supportive of economic regulation, coupled with more-or-less progressive social views. "Third-way" is to liberal what neoconservative is to conservative.

i think people are confused about what republicans say they are for and what they are actually for. the establishment republicans are all about protecting big business on the immigration issue. they say they are for limited government but big business likes regulations and subsidies. they force out competition.

    Just took it. I'm a Neocon :D

They should change that one question about cocaine to marijuana though. I'm not in favor of legalizing cocaine, but I'm all about legalizing marijuana. I'm not a partaker of it anymore, but good grief, it's less dangerous (from what I've read over the years) than alcohol. Legalize it, treat it with the same laws as alcohol and let's get on to more important things.

Put six rednecks in a room with a keg of Coors Light and someones gonna end up in a fight. No two ways about it.

Put six rednecks in a room with a fat blunt and they'll come out best friends for life!

i think all the drug laws are stupid. coke and speed do have some very nasty side effects in nstage addiction, but locking people up for it causes more trouble and makes us lose more liberty than if it was legal. i'm all about freedom.

I think many of those questions were very leading and wanted you to select one way or another to skew the results. Others, I thought were flawed.

what would you do if drug laws were abolished? And we get a rise in people who were not only using, but unable to get jobs because they were doped out or unreliable so no one wanted to hire them? Put them on public assistance? I'm not totally against legalizing many drugs, but (much like cigarettes), if you take them, don't come crying to the taxpayer if your life sucks later on.

no, i'm a libertarian!!! i don't think the government should be involved in any assistance. i think it's fundamentally wrong to take money by force from one individual and give it to another, even if it's done by legal means. legal plunder as bastiat said.

so you're sentencing people who take drugs to a life of misery because they took it and become addicted? You are creating a permanent underclass, essentially aren,t you? They take it, they need it, but they cannot afford it now cuz they can't hold down a job?

I don't disagree with you on the assistance part, but from a compassionate view, what do you do with those people?

Same here. There were a number of them that I didn't particularly care about one way or another and answered "not sure" with "low" rating. A number of the issues I'm just simply not familiar with.

My guess is that since I'm anti-abortion, pro-Death Penalty and pro-Israel, I was defaulted to Neocon. Not that I have a problem with the label.
