Are download site allowed?

I've a website where users are allowed to stream and download files from file sharing sites like Rapidshare and megaupload etc. No files are been hosted on the domain concerned, just that it streams from third parties site through my server.

Adsense banned my site(not account), stating that it's due to hacking/cracking content

You were lucky they only banned the one site, not your whole account.

 

Ya it is not allowed to issue illegal or copy right material. Even downloads are geniue adsense detect it as illegal..,Even i had the problem by they didnt ban site they gave me a warning....

 

that's why use a flash website , googles adsense bot can't read the content then you make a forum attached to the site and add your adsense there.

Unless you're linking to illegal stuff like warez then just don't even use adsense

Illegal download sites are called warez and they are not allowed. You'll be banned instantly.

Try building a site like FileHippo.com, that promotes free and open source software. That download site has over 100K subscribers.

 

That kind of content is not allowed and is against the TOS

Arh..seems like you're the only one giving a neutral reply. Just because i said my site was ban many people claim that it's really a noncompliance of adsense policy

Anyway I've emailed them using helpdesk. Do they reply on weekend :s or will they even reply?

 

just contact google .. friend of mine had problems with ad sense .. they reinstated his account after fixing the errors.

 

In google's scenario this may be illegal,But just contact them,may get some solution for sure.

 

Google can indeed read flash files...

Read their terms, most people dont and its a major factor that leads to banning, people ignoring their terms that are available for you to read.

Here some issues that makes it dangerous to have adsense on your site:

1. You're proving a way for people to find warez.
2. A lack of content.
3. No privacy policy regarding their program.
4. Your disclaimer sort of hints are what service you are associated with

We're therefore NOT responsible for what you've downloaded using Rapid8.Com"

5. Check your meta keywords megaporn premium link generator
6. RapidShare, Megaupload, MegaShares, Easy-Share, MegaVideo, MegaPorn, HotFile are all associated with warex, porn and other iffy content.

Its basically asking for trouble, as i say, your lucky its just the site that was banned.

 

Google does ban sites that are related to warez. I feel that you are lucky that they just ban your site and not the whole account.
