The answer is, it depends on the quality.
There are thousands who talk about link building services, but how many of them really make the difference for a project they hire?

There are companies which charge $$$$$ per month and the only reason for big companies to go with them is the way they promote the websites. If a freelancer has that level of skill set then obviously they work on their website and show it to the prospects which ultimately lead to a great conversion/sale.


SEO is no more just a ranking race, its now performance and conversion race. If the company does not make the required % profit/ROI then any promotion is subject to failure.

You may provide the report to $30 and other company sell similar report to $$$. So it also depends on how you market your service and sell.

 

SEO for me is the most easiest task when it comes to web development. It only took me 30 minutes to understand how SEO works. And yes, many company nowadays unaware being rip off due to its simple job but secretive procedure.

After all, it is all about business. You improve his page rank, increase traffic, people will buy their product, and you get paid in return.

It's true, some are boastful about their SEO skill but I considered themselves failures because standard procedure all matters. Otherwise, you will end up your site kick out on any SE.

good SEO for me are those people who earn Thousand $$$ in adsense alone.

 

Self poclaimed SEO expert !! The expert word has a certain charm and it sounds cool too !!

 

I can be "SEO Expert", you can be "SEO Expert", everybody can be a "SEO Expert"

the only thing that matters here is their services and how do they do it, some people claims they do white hat SEO but they were link farms which is very harmful if you link to those bad neighborhood.

I can define "SEO Expert" when it comes to clients output, quality SEO services & capable of doing SEO standards way of doing SEO

 

Well, to be expert or not depends on their portfolios. If one can show that they can get a fairly competitive keywords top 10 in Google and also getting the sales/traffic/leads then they are truely expert in my opinion. One can easily claim but they also need to proof with their works. If one can't proof than stop assuming everyone is stupid and pay them for the crap...
