How is this site ranking #3 for 'uk seo' in Google (uk)...goseo dot co dot uk
100 poor backlinks only, no 301 redirects, 16million competing pages.

 

the majority of their backlinks look really relevant to me, we all know thats what google likes!

 

yes..its true!!!yes the links are relevent according to me also!!!

 

They are ranking so high (even number 9 for uk seo on google.com) because they have a link out to google on their home page.

Btw their backlinks are not so great, lots of directory listings. I think the only reason you see 16 million results is because of the term UK, use 'uk seo' in quotes and just a couple hundred thousand results, so not that much competition.

 

they don't seem high quality to me (maybe relevant), you get companies competing for this term with 20k backlinks!

Where I'm sitting they are in #2 in google.com - this is crazy and i'm sure there is something fishy going on.

Anyone else want to add to the mix....

 

position 23 for me - Google .co.uk (pages from UK). They're top page for 'UK SEO services' though, which is the anchor text on the majority of their backlinks. The results you've seen will have been temporary, as a result of the backlinks they've put in with that phrase- they're already dropping and I expect they may drop further

 

You see the keyword "UK SEO" and your url has seo in it and at the end .uk
so this is called domain name power, which has not much to do with back links.

If you increase more back link may be 20 for the anchor text uk seo, then you can even move to top.

What is your view for this comment space fruit...

 

The back links are seems to be reasonable relevant and that is why you have good position in google.

 

Do you really believe this works??? If it did we all would have put a link to google sitewide lol

Otherwise, the site ranks very well and on google.com - 1st for "goseo" and 4th for "go seo", but it's on 39 position, not 3rd in google.co.uk for "seo uk"?!

 

well i'm in the UK and seeing it on page 2 now.

'Linking out to Google' - na i don't belive that would have much of an impact, but it is good to link out to quality sites.

 

I think it is useful to link out to quality sites that are related to yours in order to help out your users find other information they are looking for.

go seo is position no.6 for a .co.uk search on Google for me today under UK SEO

 

this is what I mean...how? mmm...well the only positive thing I can see is an aged domain 2003.
