    Ok well i was reading about optimization and one of the important things is to give your website a good tittle. So is that a major stone in seo-ing the website

    For example now my website www.FlashJunkies.com the title for the homepage is homepage

    i went into the index to change it and i found this

    <head>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://flashjunkies.com/templates/delta/style.css" type="text/css">
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://localhost:8888/ava_32/modules/featured.css" />
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>Flash Junkies - Free flash games - Play flash games - Online flash games - Free online games</title>
    <META NAME="description" CONTENT=" Flash Junkie - Play free flash games, online flash games, and other games sonic pacman donkeykong ">
    <META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="flash, games, free, flash games, free flash games, action, adventure, arcade">
    <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="http://flashjunkies.com" href="./rss.php" />
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://flashjunkies.com/modules//contentslider.js">
    <meta name="verify-v1" content="wVJeOaAK9ePgeJoN5pzpUEC0s6KMjogXbyVXeCpHTKA=" />

    there is something for the tittle tags but it doesn't show .... or is there something wrong there ....

    Anybody that knows and can help me to add a tittle i will be verrrrrryyy greatfulll :D

    I think the title is way too long, I think that's why its showing up as just "homepage".

    This is the title tag, and you need to add/edit this inorder to make it your site's title.

    Although, I am seeing this at your website
    You need to replace this with the above title.

    Title is way too long. It appears you're trying to keyword stuff your title. Google's algorithm has a keyword stuffing detection feature that discounts the importance of sites that do this. Focus more on CONTENT.

    Besides being very long, your title tag is too repetitive. Focus only on keyword phrases that have good search volume. Don't repeat the same keywords ("flash games") over and over again in the title. Mentioning it once or twice would be enough.

    Just only put your focus keyword at your meta tag

    Well, the only answer that I can come up with is going to be the most obvious. Access the file, make the changes, and save it. I'm sure you've tried that though.

    Second option, would be to contact the person that did your meta tags, have him make the changes.

    Looks like your page is created through A CMS system ( content management system).
    In that case, they must have provided the way to put Meta on the pages.
    If they have some admin section to put meta tags for home page then put meta and title there.
    In other case, write the title and meta manually on the home page ( index.php) and then publish on web.

    I copied the source of your page and put it on my machine as HTML. i changed the title and it worked well.

    Yeah i think the issue is that whatever you're using to power your website in the backend is changing your title's automatically for you, making it difficult to change them to what you want.

    you look like you are keyword stuffing on the title.. make it more short. you can make a sentence out of the keywords that you use to make it not looked like keyword stuffing.

    Changing titles frequently is not so good as far the seo is concerned.Because only the targeted keyword will be put in the title.In the title tag we have give the title and it is displayed in the browsers window.

    He isn't changing the title frequently, he's trying to change it period. He's saying the code he's writing isn't showing up.

    Did you actually read the post, or did you just decide to throw in your two irrelevant cents?

    Also, you can change the title as often as you want, I change mine to reflect sales, or other discounts. Since this is what is clicked on in the SERP, you should make it appealing to the user. After all, more traffic equals more potential income.

    Like I said earlier...contact whoever did your meta content before, and ask him how to make the changes. Problem solved.

    That seems to be the easiest, most direct method. And it sure beats reading posts from people that don't know anything about how your site was built giving you answers to questions that you didn't ask.

    If your site was built using a CMS (Joomla, Drupal, etc..), then you should find out which one was used, and look in to where to change the meta tag information.
