The guy has an image of a child who has something in his hand pointing to the ads. Here: http://www.searchenginecollege.com/articles/2006/03/top-10-adsense-tricks-to-boost-your.html
yep.. this has been posted before.. If you've read and understand the TOS, you would KNOW that this is clearly a violation.. However, because the image is so cleaverly implemented, it MIGHT be argued that it's 'ok'. To me, that ruler in the kid's hand is no different than an arrow pointing to that ad, it does the same thing - giving unnatural attention to the ad (and it does it very well)
So.. "unnaturally" directing a reader's attention to an ad is fine? Please elaborate on your opinion to help me and some of the N00bs that might be reading understand why this is ok.. You know.. just so we all understand..
Hard to say really, but personally I would say that a picture like that is almost crying out "click the ads, go on, you know you want to " but in a more indirect way.
I don't know if it's violate the TOS, but it's well done. I would try it on one of my site, but I would ask Google first, just to be sure.
Just a quick note to all these people who "know" our site design is a violation. You might want to read this thread: forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=76658&page=2&highlight=searchenginecollege.com It explains that Google has already reviewed our site and given it the thumbs up.
