Hey all! I just finished with my new site and would like some reviews about it. genXtalks I mite to need to explain what d site is about though, so here goes... This site allows users to ask question and anwer them. Users are paid for every answer they post, as well as for every answer to their own question. every user gets a bonus of $5 to start with.
very very clean site. this is definitely one of the best that i've come across in my reviews on dp. the only problem i see though is the resolution that you are using for the images as they seem very noisey due to compression. i would recommend that you experiment with png's rather than jpg's and see if that will make a difference
I like the overall look of the site but I feel you may want to consider a few things. 1. Your font size for the content seems a bit small for older visitors 2. copyright 2008 needs changed 3. No meta description on your main page? 4. The title is the same for all pages. 5. if possible remove the styles to an external .css file 6. no robots.txt or sitemap.xml? 7. Your logo does not link to the root of the site. 8. need to turn off directory indexing as seen in 'genxtalks.com/images/' 9. your search function: click the search box and hit enter. It comes back a 404 error instead of "No matching questions were found." 10 I know this is not for an SEO review but you may want to look at what you have as on page SEO as I do not think it is going to help you much. 11. links to other sites should open in a new window or tab so you do not send people away from your site. "links in your footer" 12. titles on your text links would help with accessibility. hope this helps
general look - great! clean, modern, professional. but Amxfan is right with the details. And the space at the top - did you leave it for ads?
Looks very good over all and should work out well for you. The only real problem I had was with the small print on the black backround.
