i know that animated movies r made using maya. bt which software is used to make cartoon like BEN 10, Scoobe Doo and etc?? plz anybody plz help...
most old cartoon like scooby doo, and probably even ben 10 are hand made probably ben 10 it does look like flash, but im not convinced anyway im sure wikipedia has some info on that
I'm also curious about the same. I can't imagine how folks are drawing each and every movement of a character in a cartoon movie.
i feel to created a cortoon like that we must a know about cgi...very good teqniq to created a grafiq like a cartoon.
not to say that some cartoons arent made in flash, but how the hell do you think cartoons where made b4 computers? all the disney films... ?!
You can use toon boom for traditional animation but if you are great with computer you can use Anime Studio Pro. It is a lot easier to master as I've been using it for a while. It is affordable too.
I think all the cartoons are 3d. But the ones you are talking about are rendered in "Toon" mode. They are still 3d just look 2d. Here's an example: 3d: Toon Mode:
Cartoons are made in Maya, 3Ds MAX, and other 3D softwares and then colored as 2D (toon as told by farooq) so they look cartoonish. You CAN make cartoons on Adobe Flash if you know how Before computers, cartoons were made by frames. You can try this at home by making a few cutouts of characters. Also cut out black pages in different shapes which will act as the mouth. Change the positions and mouth according to what it should say and take a picture. And then compile all of them together (this was complicated in the olden days, now u can use flash) and then add voice over it. And show it to your family where the ticket cost is $1
Well, that is a very simple question to a very complex answer, hun. lol Basically, there are two ways these cartoons begin, pose to pose and frame by frame. All a cartoon is really is a bunch of images played after one another (like a flip booklet), and how fast these images are relayed is known as the frames per second. One frame is basically one image. Now then, pose to pose is where you draw out your first scene, and for each scene or change, you only change whatever is changing. Frame by frame is where you completely re-draw each individual scene. After you have everything drawn out by hand (because you must start by hand in my opinion, even if it is just sketches. There is a reason Disney still does that lol), you scan everything in. Most companies use Maya now a days to do their animations, but if you have never used Maya before, it is very, very complicated. I spent a couple months in it in my Digital Media and Animation class, and it was a royal pain. If you're looking to make just a basic animation, go with Flash. Now then, you can either use Flash to make each scene, or you can use Macromedia (the same company that makes Flash) Fireworks. Since Photoshop images will not import into Flash, Fireworks is basically a mixture of Photoshop and Illustrator (which is a vector program I believe), and better yet, the images you make there can be imported into Flash. Even the simplest stick-figure cartoons take a lot of time, so be prepared to be patient and get frustrated. But when you complete an animation, it really is cool. OH! And I forgot to mention! Last but not least, after you have finished your Flash movie, you need to export it as an AVI, back your Flash movie will save as a .fla file (the changeable file) and the .swf file (the unchangeable file), but the only person who will be able to see them will be those with Flash (not flashplayer, but the actual Flash program). So don't forget to export as an .avi so other people can see your works!
do animators really create 3d worlds then downgrade the creation to a 2d cartoon? seems like walking extra miles just to catch a bus back
