How To Track Converted Adwords On Landing Page?

    Hi,

    I've a question. This is the first time I'm using landing page.
    I'll use Adwords to pull traffic to landing page and market clickbank's product.

    Adwords -> Landing Page -> Clickbank sale page

    I face a problem. I don't know which adwords are converting.
    I have 2 landing page and I split test using

    1. xxx.abc.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=page1
    2. xxx.abc.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=page2

    When a sale was made, I can only know which landing page is performing. But how come I know which adwords are converting as well?

    I went to Adwords -> Converting Tracking and added the codes in both my landing pages, but the stats are not accurate. It'll show an adword "converted" when someone went to the payment page, even if that person never buy.

    For example if an adword was clicked 10 times and went to the payment page 10 times, it showed 10 conversion, which was untrue.

    So how to track which adwords actually convert sales? Pls help!

    Thanks!

    You should do what I'm doing...

    Edit the Keywords in Adwords to point to the landing page and your link should look like this for each one...

    2. xxx.abc.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=lp1kw2

    lp = landing page
    kw = kw

    I do this so you can track which keywords work without letting anyone know what keywords you're using!

    Hope this helps.

    That means your conversion pixel is not placed correctly, it should be after the sale page page or on thank you page.

    Well the thing is that the conversion pixel has to be on the clickbank's merchant page of course. The user buys the product there, makes sense right?

    If you place it on your landingpage that is only linking to the merchant page, you falsely track your visitor being on your landingpage as a conversion.

    What you need to do to use adwords conversion tracking with clickbank offers is to ask the merchant of the product directly to place your conversion pixel.
