I've been making some big changes in terms of SEO for 2 of my sites and am anxious to see if it has helped my SE rankings. They were both last cached by Google on the 26th June. One is a Wordpress blog - is there a way of pinging it to google?
If you have something dynamic on their like an RSS Feed they will do it more often. If they keep seeing the same thing they'll slow down.
My blog has one, hopefully it'll get cached again soon then They both have one. Hopefully I won't have long to wait.
Matt Cutts has stated that Google spiders sites in order of page rank, so maybe try getting higher page rank you might be crawled more.

Here is a great post by none other than Dazzlin Donna Fontenot done just this week that gives you tips on making your site attractive like blogs. http://www.searchenginepeople.com/b...uff-blog-when-you-are-scrawny-and-static.html
