Why forums.digitalpoint.com pagerank become 4

    it was 7 before few days, now it's 4. I'm curious what could be the reason for that :)

    Well Google hates affiliates and look at how many dp members link to there affiliate sites for backlinks, I think that's the main reason Google slapped dp. Also the Warrior forum is now also pr 4.

    Yeah I agree with you.. I was thinking of it too.
    But DP don't have to worry about the Pagerank the most important thing is that
    We members knew about how DP is helpful.
    Many have known this Forums and DP is getting more and more guest and members....

    Pagerank only matters when your site is new and you have to prove yourself, I guess DP has already passed that stage.

    No one cares about PR of any page of DigitalPoint except threads as they can give you backlinks. Homepage PR has never stayed constant and there have been several reasons behind it. Many think it might be due to Co-op network run by DP and others give many other reasons.

    Well DP will not change whatever google does. They banned their adsense (unbanned after Shawn call them) and now lower the page rank. But this does not matter to me.

    alexa is nothing with google :p

    if you have high PR, your site can be indexed faster or can be on the top of search result

    I dont think pr is a matter for DP. It is too good a forum, that low PR will a matter of concern.
