no reply from ICANN complaint till now. Thanks PROMO for ur idea, i would do that. let see what happens?
I wonder where Godaddy hid the rights to steal domains in the user policy. They make it so dang long that you never read the whole thing.
Another case of NoDaddy! Go see other examples at www*nodaddy*com! You'll see you have many friends there. How is it going reporting to ICANN? I think that is the solution with the most hope.
no reply from ICANN till now. as PROMO suggested i commented on bob.s blog and received a reply. let see how it goes........
its not like that there might be something mistake in system. else godaddy is not so bad. its good and best domain and hosting provider till now. i agree its very tidious... they offer different things while checking out. etc so customers are confuse. also their interface is slower now. but they are not bad.
Today i got reply from ICANN, telling me that the domain is deleted from Registry and available again. so the end result is never trust Godaddy and ICANN. Godaddy - they can rob your domains whenever they want, you can't do anything. ICANN - they don't listen your complaint, do not give status on your complaint, and when your domain got deleted from registry they send a mail telling that your domain got deleted and now you can happily change your domain register. so the domain in question was 1. Trollcasino.com - it was some 8 years old domain name and the expiry date was 15 july 2009. and the domain status now is deleted. check this [http://whois.domaintools.com/trollcasino.com] 2. Cutehandmadejewelry.com - it was not old but getting some good traffic from google bcoz it got top rankings for "handmade jewelry" and related keywords. and this domain expired on 17 june 2009. and the domain status now is deleted. check this [http://whois.domaintools.com/cutehandmadejewelry.com] so what you guys think about this........
i feel that.. its ur mistake to use a gift card from a stolen CC. sooner or later they found out. they could have asked to you to pay, but the human tendency is to repel. so they simply cancel the purchase.. they made their choice simple and striaght forward.. thatz all i can say.. i would suggest you guys to renew / move registrar 30-40 days ahead of expiry so that we would have enough time to sort things out if we face such issues. at the neck of time.. namecheap does it well.. no issues i had before.. the daddy is quite nagging.. so i face daddy some 40 days before with their single dollar offers.. and i am quite ok with daddy, although namecheap provide better service. ur case.. the domain is AVAILABLE now.. quite surprising that it doesnt go thru lengthy drop procedure.. i wud recommend you to grab it as soon as possible.. else someone else might register before you do.. act fast and choose any registrar you want . the choice is all urs now..
Cutehandmadejewelry.com is available for register. but it also available on sedo.com [http://www.sedo.com/search/details.php4?language=us&domain=cutehandmadejewelry.com&partnerid=17505] howcome a unregistered domain can go for a auction?
Oh, someone must've listed it in Sedo and forgot all about it. That happens a lot of the time. You might want to re-register those domain names rather than post here and risk losing them to someone else if they're still available by then.
Your case is totally different, I used the backorder services of godaddy, and suggest you all the DP members that do not use the GOdaddy backorder services.
Props Astroman for actually making robbyjiang's post relate to something in this thread. I'm glad it all worked out then. Like all companies I guess Godaddy can have some issues with certain things and make decisions we don't understand, agree with, or maybe they're actually the ones who are wrong. Who knows. As for me, Ive never had an issue, and from my experience with them, I doubt I ever will. Just yesterday I auto renewed a domain without knowing and they refunded me $20, no questions asked in about 20 mins of my request. I call that good service!
