there are several threads asking this, I suggest it to every vBulletin owner I meet If you can afford it, than it's a good investment
VBSEO enhances the "indexability", if there is such a word, of your forum site. It does not guarantee of top positions in Google search results but it helps so that Google easily finds deep pages of your forum.
Part of it depends on how old your site is. If your community is more then 1 year old, then no, I do not recommend it. The reason being, google is going to have to reindex all of your URLs. Even with a 301 redirect, this can take some time. And then, I have heard mixed reviews whether it actually helps or not. As for my forum, no, I do not use it.
I have just got vBSEO on www.webmasterpeers.com a week back. No results till now (yeah I know I got to wait)...just hope I have done everything correctly.
Yes, I highly recommend vBSEO. It's an amazing product. This is bad advice. It's not good to change your URL structure and optimization so drastically in such a short period of time. Pick one and use it. Brandon (Loco. M - posted above) offers optimization consultation services I believe. If you need help with configuration, check out his site and he should be able to assist you. www.vbulletinsetup.com
Now a day, search engine can index dynamic URLs too but if you have budget I suggest to use vbSEO. It converts URL to SEO friendly as well as it generates the sitemaps for your board too. Sitemap can help to index your new thread quickly.
Sorry to bust your criticism, but SEO products do that. It changes your URL structure from something like showthread.php?t=1 into /thread-title-here/ just like that drastically. Heck you could make vBulletin SEO friendy with just one file! .htaccess
Maybe your ignorance has gotten in the way of your understanding. It is not beneficial and is in fact detrimental to change your URL structure multiple times with different SEO products. For example, going from default to Zoints SEO and then to vBSEO and back to default structure will in no way help your site. Especially if you make these changes in a short period of time.
dont u guys think its over charged $149 is a lot specially when vblicense itself cost something in that price range
You misread my posts therefore you gave me red rep. Thank you for showing your insecurity it is clear as day that you do not have a clue about what you're saying.
