Take a look at what I saw on a website today: The pictures weren't showing all the time. Mostly only the normal ads were shown. Actually I just saw the cartoon cat 2 times, and the mouse pointer 1 time out of dozens of refreshs. I blurred the ads out because I don't want to give the appropriate keywords and/or ads too much attention.
I asked google about that already for another post and here is what they said. They said that this was part of the new stuff they working on only for some clients and we will be update once it gone public. So nothing wrong it just wait and see when we can use it
The cursor's a subtle hint isn't it? I personally cannot wait to have these. They will certainly drive up clickthroughs. Is it good for the adwords publishers though? I'm sure google'll need to figure that out before they implement it.
Yeah, it should drive more click throughs as people might think that picture is not part of adsense code.
I think this is could be a good idea, but I also think it may be to combat people integrating their ads a little too well. I don't know about you guys, but those cheesy little gifs would throw off my site. If the images are relevant, than like I said it may be a reallly good idea.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the picture behaving like an link unit? So it needs a second click to pay? I never had much from link units.
LOL that will encourage visitor to click the ad... and soon adsense will be ban because they violate their own TOS
I saw those pictures and it's something wrong with it. Let's say ad points to financial website and above we have a picture with train running... So what should I think? Train is necessary to bring my money home?
ya, but those ads are taking space of one link ? I think they should give option to the user to select 3 gif's which google will show randomly instead of showing there gif's with no control on them for webmaster.
