This contest is in two parts.

PSD only - I will pay the winner $75 as this will be a simple template with no images it is the layout and theme I am looking for.

PSD and XHTML - I will pay the winner $125

You need to state on your entry whether you are submitting for just the PSD or for the PSD and XHTML.

Here are the guidelines for the template.

    Color theme: Green and Orange
Theme type: Simple Web 2 style but with a simplistic overview

Template will have a header image, Horizontial Nav bar, 3 Column layout and a footer.

Theme to reflect childlike writing to show simplistic feel
    Company Type: Recycling

Horizontial Nav bar to have large buttons to reflect web 2 feel with simplistic overview - Home/about us/areas/prices/contact us/store

    Duration 4-5 days

edit: No photos are needed - only images I am looking for are for the nav bar in the form of buttons and maybe a couple of generic images made for the header or in the left/right columns.

If you have any questions, please reply to this thread. And Please post to this thread if you submit your design. I will pick a winner for this contest, but reserve the right not to if I don't like any submissions. There are a lot of talented designers on DP so I doubt this will be an issue.

Are you going to give this contest the same lack of attention as your logo contest?

    My entry:

I put some dummy content in just to give an idea what it might look like, that and the big ugly watermark can obviously be removed.

I will code it as well if it wins :) .

The logo contest is still open - takes a while for me to log into DP keeps throwing me out. Gave feedback on submissions I've seen and I will update if necessary when I check it shortly.

Erthy - Thanks for your entry - although the header needs something on it - just leave a little room for the logo on the left.

A logo is not required for this.

    Regards Roger

emzdesign - thanks for your entry - the images concern me - due to copyright issues. The nav bar needs a large button feel with gloss to reflect web 2 and maybe some child crayon drawn icons in orange on each button, otherwise excellent entry thanks.

Hiya -the images are from a stock website but they're a bit pricey. Would you prefer I use images from istockphoto.com which are more reasonable?

    Thanks,

    Emma

jnjnnino - thanks for the entry, remove the search bit, remove the 'keep on recyling' image, make the left column into one column and put child crayon font for the navigation buttons and you'll be quite close to what I am looking for.

Itaydr - thanks for your entry - remove the grey boxes on the left and right sides and change the font in nav bar to a child's crayon font and you'll be near enough there.

emzdesign - I'd rather you didn't use stock images at all :) don't want the hassle or expense.

You guys should probably mention if you're using stock images, especially when the CH has said he would preferred them not to be used (that pic of crushed cans is stock).

I have used a couple of stock images in the header variations below (though they're free and royalty free). I could probably make variations without stock tomorrow if the contest is still open.

harizd - nice entry - three things as feedback - 1. need a three column layout. 2. Is the kids pic a stock photo as not looking for any due to extra costs and hassle. 3. remove the navigation header from the first column.

jnjnnino - nice revision - clean and professional

Erthy - I like the first one best

emzdesign - I like the revision alot - not quite what I meant on the icon bit on the buttons though (see below)

I like the submissions so far clean and professional there are some notes below for you guys to remember and due to these which I believe I have pointed out in my posts but mustn't have made them clear so I am pointing them out here - in addition in light of the pointers set out below and to give everyone a chance I am leaving the contest open until Monday AM (BST) this is to incorpriate my busy family life over the weekend and to give you guys a chance. So far out of the submissions and believe me all of them are good, emzdesign and Erthy are the closest to what I looking for clean professional but simple the main thing missing on that design is the child like crayon icons as I don't actually mean a coloured pencil or a crayon but icons that have been drawn with a crayon that wasn't made clear by me.

    Pointers:-

    1. Please no stock photo's unless they can be used free and without copyright issues.
    2. Web 2 feel - use large glossy buttons
    3. 3 column layout
    4. full page header and footer - so layout will be header/horizontial nav bar/3 column content/footer
    5. nav bar buttons are: Home/about us/areas/prices/contact us/store
    6. Site colors are green and orange
    7. simplistic style using a child view style (this bit so hard to explain - see princesgatespringwater.com they capture it perfectly including the icons on the buttons which help emphysize this concept.
    8. State if your entry is for just PSD or whether it is for PSD and coded - as this reflects your payment

Hope this clarifies it, I don't want to rush any of you and I don't want you to feel I am putting this off - but I will pick a winner and the winner needs to be as close to what I need alot of the misunderstanding is from my explainations although you've understood most of it, it was down to me I'm sorry.

Look forward to your revisions/admissions - I may pick a winner earlier if it's nailed on the head

    Regards Roger
