FSRevolution is actually very cheap in comparison to custom solutions. It's also the best ref based incentive script around.
I can customize the script it's just the basis of the script. (the sign up that links to the database, the stylesheet and so on.)
There's not many choices other than FSR and Shiftcode (awful). I see the price of FSR as an investment. Or, get a custom script, but that will run you $8-10k.
You can find someone to build you a custom script but the development will take a little longer and pricey. However FSR is a good idea for the long run.
