what are the top 10 way to get uniques into your web applications?? lol

 

Stumble and digg can give a quick rush of traffic. All depends if the contents good though. Either something really controversial or just plain great.

 

that wont be enough - seo is more relevant

What if you have friends on Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft and Wikipedia.. You will get a good referral traffic if you ask your friends for some. [ It might be exaggeration but it is applicable even on smaller scale ]

This is indeed good for a start up. but mind you, unless you aim for reddit or stumbleupon you are not going to get massive site traffic from other social sites unless and until you are a reputed member with active and strong connections

 

You can also try twitter....the more followers you have, the better.

social media is good. Get pr 5 backlink, soon you will see your serp up and you started to get traffic. also don't underestimate classifieds ads, they still bring me traffic.

Aaron one thing I use to consistently drive traffic to my blog postings is twitter. On average when you tweet a link,~5% of your followers will click the link. 5% might sound sucky but if you get your twitter following up to say.. 5000 (not hard to do really) thats 250 views each time you tweet a link. food for thought.

 

I agree all my blogs are updated using the twitter API system... I also twit all my website for updating follow me on twitter dont forget feed friend and Facebbok too... they have loads of reviews daily ... social helps

 

SEO is a good long time investment but paid advertising is the only certain way to get huge traffic fast unfortunately, unless your lucky with bookmark sites ofc..

 

I agree --- all though paid or generic it still takes on site seo per webpage to make those paid traffic applies work well... it dont matter seo is over all the way to go.... paid traffic only generates when your on site seo is applied to those pages.... meaning in the meta tags and keywords especially the title tags ...
