    Hi guys.

I run an image hosting site and lots of pictures are being uploaded I monitor them on an hourly basis.

What exactly do AdSense mean by adult images, do they mean no nude pictures or do they also include pictures with certain parts of the body exposed?

Heres an exmaple of what people are uploading on my site (children dont click)

Are these pictures inviolation of AdSense or are the ok as there not nude?

    Please let me know

    Many Thanks :D

Just nothin pornographic. But I would contact google to be safe. They are the ones that have the ultimate say.

    TOS
"Web page or any Web site that contains any pornographic, hate-related, violent, or illegal content; "

    Definition of Pornographic:
1 : the depiction of erotic behavior (as in pictures or writing) intended to cause sexual excitement
2 : material (as books or a photograph) that depicts erotic behavior and is intended to cause sexual excitement
3 : the depiction of acts in a sensational manner so as to arouse a quick intense emotional reaction <the pornography of violence>

After reading that maybe you cant use it? Its a sticky line.

Actually, they don't prohibit just pornographic images, they prohibit any "adult" images, which is a much broader category. Here is their policy officially explained:

    https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=105957
If you have to say "children don't click", then it's not appropriate to use Adsense. And note that you are not supposed to use Adsense if there is adult content anywhere on your site, even if the rest of the site is G-rated.

I was thinking the same. Otherwise, if there is a doubt, then you better stay away just to be safe. It also depends of the country. Not all countries have all the same definition.

Just keep monitoring your uploads, and deleting questionable images, and you should be fine. "
If your site has content which you wouldn't be comfortable viewing at work or with family members around, then it probably isn't an appropriate site to place Google ads upon."
