WOW!! I'm really surprised with all the good information and friendly answers. If all Indians are like you, guys, I'm going to hurry up and start saving.

Ok, remember that I told you that I'm a guy (1,87 mts. tall, 90 kg weight and fight like a mad dog if I must). The girl in the picture is one I was dating (I'm gonna have to change that for a real picture of me, but I would like to change mi nickname too... is that possible? business reasons).

getjimmy: I don't know, maybe a month. I would like to go to Thailand to rest near a beach too. I haven't take a vacation since... a long time. And yes, beer sound great!

About living there, can someone help me with:
    - ¿How much should I pay for a made (someone to clean and cook for me) in Goa or Chandigarh?
    - Is it hard to find weed? (here it says that laws are very tolerant)

    LIVING:
    - Is New Delhi expensive? is it cheap? How much for a two peoples apartment? Please, give me some app prices.

Even in the Indian context, New Delhi is not that costly.
    350-500 $.

    - How much should I pay for a made (someone to clean and cook for me) in New Delhi?

If you meant MAID , it would be 100$ max per month.

    - How good is the quality of Internet connection there (prices vs upload/download REAL speed)

Varies widely from place to place.

    - Are Indians tolerant with other peoples opinion (about religion, politics... sports), cause I really like to chat and debate.

    Very tolerant.

    - Is it hard to find weed (yeap, I like pot).

Not sure. You can visit West bengal . There you will find better things to enjoy that you will not go away from India. Bengali = Communist , Fish , Smoking.

Oh here your questionnaire is answered:

    - What places I shouldn't miss?
    1. Manali ( Himachal pradesh province) its kinda safest and nicest hill station in nrothern india. 2. Agra (UP) Its a dirty city but it has taj mahal. 3. Jaipur ( nice place to see a dozen of real big palaces, i enjoy that so veyr much, also u will see ethnic culture of that region still alive) 4. Darjeeling (WB) to see the greenery and amazing weather 5. Kerala (coastal province in south india) to experience some very different culture from north, lots of spas, and some very nice stuff u never thought of. 6. Ooty (if u still have some time) its a nice place. Apart from these 6 I dont think any place is worth a visit. Please dont go delhi/mumbai prefer hyderabad/bangalore etc cities if u like to see city life.

    - Is Indian people friendly? I'm very "easy going" and funny, I make friends with ease... but some cultures are really unfriendly

What is the word for more then extreme, indians are friendly upto that word. You will experince it. But those taxi drievers will rip off your all money being very friendly.

    - How much does a 4 start hotel cost? Can I rent a furnished apartment to a local, so he gets the money and I live like "in my home" (sometimes, I prefer that to a hotel)

Its like $100/night Yes apartment will be like $400/mo max

    LIVING:
    - Is New Delhi expensive? is it cheap? How much for a two peoples apartment? Please, give me some app prices.

Kind of cheap, cheap hotels start from $20/night, with accomodation for 2.

    - How much should I pay for a made (someone to clean and cook for me) in New Delhi?

    like US$ 150/mo

    - How good is the quality of Internet connection there (prices vs upload/download REAL speed)

Well 512KB unltd temp connection is like $50

    - Are Indians tolerant with other peoples opinion (about religion, politics... sports), cause I really like to chat and debate.

Yes, seeing is believing. You wont find tolerance like india in anywhere in world. whatever u do with them good or bad, they will come to say goodbye a dozen time to foreigners :d

    - Is it hard to find weed (yeap, I like pot).
Oh mmm i am clueless, but all the taxi drivers can get u this, i am sure. and in competitive prices.

    any more ques?

Well.. Its really a nice country to visit.
If you are planning to stay here and explore the beauty of it, then I'd suggest you to rent a apartment at Mumbai or Delhi as your base station.
You can go any places from there either via Air or Train.

There are lots of placed to visit..
You can go Goa, entire rajasthan state, Shimla, Kulu and Manali, Gantok, Darjeeling, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Kerala..
I mentioned only a few. A good travel agent can help you more.

And, let me know if you ever visit Kolkata, We can have some beers together.

    to name a few odds
    Durga puja in Calcutta.
    trek to Kedar-badri.
Sikkim (and Bhutan, though it is an independent country) for their scenic beauty.
Puri for its beaches and temples.

India is the most diversified country in the world by any counts. be it race, religion, or whatever. any country which has a diversified population are naturally friendly to other cultures.
costs varies from city to city. since you are for a long trip it would much better you rent some place. you can google for some online rental brokers and get a feedback.

accomodation in Delhi is a bit high compared to Chennai or Calcutta. better give ping to some online brokers for figures.

$30-40/month a bit here and there. but thats part time.

connectivity is not a problem. speed varies depending on the plan you suscribe. speed varies from 256kbps to 2mbps.

make sure you bring along all you ids. you will need those stuff.

    as i said no issues.

you have come to the right place dear.

hint: visit Ganga-Sagar Mela during Makar Sankranti (thats in January each year)
hope you have a pleasant stay in India.

I dunno about delhi but id really recommend to stay in Bangalore. You can also consider Mumbai but I think Bangalore would be a better choice. The people are very friendly here. ;)

For vacations, go to these places:

    Goa.
    Mahabaleshwar.
    Ooty.

And the maid, you can get for 70-80$ may be.

    Hotel:

    depends on the location..

    Internet:

about 40$ for 1 mbps U/L connection. You can get 16 mbps too, but the bandwidth is limited.

If you're planning to stay here don't forget to pm.

"Come to India 2K Billion People Can't be wrong LOL.. Well, elkubiak you r most welcome to come to India! Anytime :), I'll answer ur question one by one coz i have loads of time and i wanna type lool. So here it goes,
If you are coming to New Delhi then you shouldn't Miss the following places :-
    1. Qutub Minar (South Delhi), Lotus Temple (People from all kinds of Religion can visit, South Delhi), Old Delhi - Darya Ganj, Paranthey Wali Gali (Food and beautiful things.. if ur a fashion designer then it's heaven for u lol), Connought Place (You can spend the whole day there coz it has 2 concentric circles.. full of shops lol), Janpath (next to Connought Place), Greater Kailash M and N Block Market, India Gate (you will be overwhelmed when you stand in front of it. You can go there when you are visiting Connought Place), South extension, Delhi Hatt (Opp. INA market) i might have missed some of the places lol
Indian people are very friendly dont worry about tht lol.
hmm, you'll have to check that out, i dnt knw if someone will share but i can say that if you search for something like this over the internet then you might find it... if u have any problems then u can stay with me lollol.
I guess that you r in the US so a 4 star hotel won't cost you a lot, if im not wrong then you might get a room for 60-70 $ a night... but choose a good hotel.

Delhi will not be expensive for you coz ur from US, to give u an idea, yuo can easily have a mc donald's meal for 10$ (and thats if you eat like 3-4 burgers, cold coffee/coke n french fries). A 500 ML Coke bottle will cost you ummm 0.50 $. Cheap? Dirt Cheap lol.
you will get a maid for 50$ a month so that's not a problem.
Internet connection - Airtel is the best as far as im concerned.. so if u buy an unlimited plan then you might have to dish out 25$/ month.. with a speed of 300 kbps (not mbps lol) u can upgrade it but then ull have to pay more.
As far as Indians being tolerant is concerned hmm it depends, depending on the group tht ur in.., everyone has their point of view. India is a democracy, u can have ur views, not a problem lol.
Weed? guess ull get it lol
